Michael has co-hosted and DJ’d the monthly Alternative Milonga, El Gringo, for over 10 years.

He started dancing tango in 2007 and did an intensive 2 year study with Monica Orozco, and has visited BA twice.

He understands the foundation of tango is the traditional style, and must be learned first. However, his passion for swing, blues and ballroom has led him to find the playfulness in tango through alternative music.

Michael is thrilled to represent alternative tango at this event and hopes to share his love of alternative music that brings to life the lighter side of tango.
